Are you passionate about data and understanding the stories and insights it can tell? Are you experienced in analysing large datasets to inform policy and applying learnings to a range of policy issues? Then a role within our Analysis and Modelling team could be right for you.
We are looking for two analytical advisers to join our policy team and work with policy colleagues on a range of infrastructure issues linked to recommendations made in the Commission’s second National Infrastructure Assessment, published in 2023.
The roles – based in our Leeds office – would suit a candidate with experience in developing and applying quantitative evidence to policy solutions. One role in particular would suit someone with a background and experience in the analysis of environmental issues, such as water quality and wastwater. The second role will have a more flexible brief, and here the successful candidate could end up working across a range of the Commission’s work programmes, such as undertaking fiscal analysis of public spending frameworks or modelling the role of the UK’s electricity distribution networks.
Successful candidates will also have the opportunity to develop and leverage relationships with analysts across government, industry and academia to advise and steer the Commission’s work, and support the wider analytical team with providing quality assurance.
Closing date for applications is Monday 22 July 2024. More information about the role requirements and the application process can be found on Civil Service Jobs.
